Our History
We have personally witnessed the devastating impact that unfair lending practices have on individuals and families. Many of us have experienced the overwhelming stress, anxiety, and financial hardship that come with being trapped in a never-ending cycle of debt. Driven by our collective experiences and a profound sense of justice, we united to establish the Filipino Fair Loans Advocacy Group (Filflag) Inc. Our mission is to advocate for equitable lending practices, safeguard the rights of borrowers, and provide support to those who have been victimized by predatory lending.
Since our inception on July 1, 2023, we have tirelessly worked to raise awareness about the issue of unfair lending practices in the Philippines. Through campaigns, workshops, and constructive dialogues with policymakers and regulators, we have been striving to push for stricter regulations and enforcement against loan agencies that engage in harassment and intimidation.

Filflag is dedicated to empowering Filipino borrowers by equipping them with the knowledge and understanding of their legal rights and obligations as debtors. Our mission is not only to educate lending companies about their responsibilities towards collection agencies but also to create a balanced and fair lending environment for all parties involved. To fulfill our mission, Filflag offers a range of support services. We provide legal assistance to borrowers who are facing loan issues or harassment from collection agencies. Our team of legal experts is committed to ensuring that borrowers are treated fairly and in accordance with the law.
In addition to legal support, Filflag conducts educational campaigns on financial literacy. We firmly believe that by providing borrowers with the necessary knowledge about financial management, budgeting, and responsible borrowing, we empower them to make informed decisions and avoid falling into the traps of debt. We understand that financial stress can have a significant impact on mental health. Therefore, Filflag also provides mental health support to borrowers who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues due to their financial difficulties. We firmly believe that addressing the mental well-being of borrowers is crucial in promoting their overall financial stability. Furthermore, Filflag promotes unity within diversity. We recognize that the Filipino community is diverse, with individuals from various backgrounds and walks of life. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone's voice is heard and respected. By fostering unity within the community, we can collectively work towards a fair and just lending system.
